Tyco Electronics: Our commitment. Your advantage.
In January 2006, Tyco International announced that it approved a
plan to separate the company's portfolio of diverse businesses
into three separate, publicly traded companies – Tyco
Electronics, which includes Elo TouchSystems; Tyco Healthcare,
which will be named Covidien; and the combination of Tyco Fire &
Security and Engineered Products & Services (TFS/TEPS), which
will remain named Tyco International.
We are excited to inform you that the separation process is
complete and Tyco Electronics is now an independent company. The
company will be trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the
symbol "TEL."
Although we are beginning as a new company, the values you have
known us for – such as quality, reliability and a commitment to
our customers – will not change. As part of Tyco Electronics, Elo
TouchSystems will continue to do business with you in the same
manner. The same representatives will continue to work with you
and any existing agreements or business conditions remain intact.
In effect, the separation is transparent to our daily operations.
One change that you may have noticed is our new, contemporary
visual identity – representative of our renewed energy and focus
on innovation. As an independent company, we are positioned to
better focus our resources to service our markets' demands and to
provide our customers with the products and services they need.
If you have any questions regarding our separation, please feel
free to contact your local Elo TouchSystems sales representative.
On behalf of all of us at Tyco Electronics' Elo TouchSystems, we
thank you for your business and look forward to working with you
to provide even more value in the future.
